Another ‘The Social Network’ trailer released. Seriously.

Well, there’s a new trailer out for The Social Network and it’s just as mysterious and self-indulgent at the first. The premise for the trailer is interesting: a series of chats between the key characters of the film.  They say a lot of things about money, getting sued, Harvard and idea-stealing.  Check it out…

It appears as if, for the first time in his career, Jesse Eisenberg (Zombieland, Adventureland, brother of “The Pepsi Girl”) doesn’t play a complete pussy. He’s Mark (Motha Fuckin’) Zuckerberg – Lord of Facebook.  He’s the guy that told Friendster and MySpace to suck it, which simultaneously giving my grandmother a new way to guilt me into visiting her.  I’m not sure if Eisenberg is capable of portraying a man with such power.

Despite my casting-related gripes and desire for trailers that don’t make my eyes roll so hard that they hurt, I always have had a lot of faith in David Fincher’s directing.  Se7en and Zodiac are some of my favorite films.  What I am most concerned about is the fragility of The Social Network.  This is something to which millions of people can because they’re a part of it.  I guess we will just have to wait and see how many Likes it gets after it is released.
