Co-Direct Ridley Scott’s New Movie!

Posted by Jon Wiener on July 7, 2010

Ridley Scott is making a documentary and he needs our help!  Life in a Day will be compiled entirely of footage shot by average joes around the world.  All you have to do is capture your life on video on July 24th, 2010 and upload it at http://www.youtube.com/lifeinaday.  “The most compelling footage” will be used in the documentary, which will be the very first “user-generated” documentary. The idea is that future generations will be able to watch this documentary and see what life was like for the inhabitants of Earth on 7/24/2010.

The doc will be produced by Scott and directed by Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland).  All chosen YouTubers will be credited as co-directors.  20 participants will be flown to Park City, Utah for the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, where Life in a Day will premiere.

Can somebody make sure that Russell Crowe isn’t anywhere near a camera on July 24th?  It would just be unfair.
